Foxtel Remains Home of Popular Reality TV and Docos with A+E Expanded Deal

Foxtel remains your exclusive source of factual content in Australia with the company’s expanded multi-year partnership with A+E Networks. From reality shows to riveting documentaries, fans of the factual genre will be able to continue access exclusive premieres of popular and engrossing content from The History Channel, Crime & Investigation, A&E, and Lifetime Movie Network (LMN).

Continuing a partnership that has been flourishing for over two decades now, the Foxtel Group and A+E Networks bring reality TV and docos to Foxtel’s more than 3.5 million subscribers. Some of A&E’s acclaimed titles include long-running shows Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, and American Pickers. Motorsport: Supercars Townsville: Race 19 also makes it to number nine with 143,000 subscribers.

ABC News also makes it again to the top ten, placing at number five with 730,000 viewers. A Current Affair follows with 706,000 viewers. Home and Away takes number nine with 555,000 viewers. Last but not the list on the top ten is Hot Seat with 537,000 viewers.

AFL Fremantale v Geelong takes over the number one spot for subscription TV on Thursday, earning 138,000 fans. Credlin falls to number two with 86,000 viewers. The Great Pottery Throw Down from the Lifestyle Channel makes it to the list with 56,000 fans. Gold Rush takes number nine with 56,000 viewers and last but not least is child favourite Peppa Pig with 55,000.

Doom Patrol Returns for Season 3 with New Episodes Premiering on BINGE

Based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name, Doom Patrol follows a group of unlikely heroes whose tragic accidents left them with trauma and superpowers they don’t want. Left disfigured inside and out, they’re shunned by society until they’re given a home and a new purpose by the Chief.

HBO Renews The White Lotus Ahead of the Season 1 Finale

Everyone’s new show, The White Lotus, is renewed by HBO a week before the premiere of the much-awaited first season finale. In Australia, The White Lotus premiered on Foxtel last month with the six-episode series to conclude next week on Monday, August 16 at 11:00 am on FOX SHOWCASE.

The series follows guests and staff of a Hawaiian resort over the course of a week. Arriving at a tropical paradise, what was supposed to be a period of rejuvenation and relaxation turns into something else as brilliantly laid out in this acclaimed social satire. Creator Mike White confirmed that the show’s second season transitions to an anthology series with new characters and a new location.
