Splendour in the Grass 2022 cancelled

UPDATE: Splendour In the Grass 2022 has closed the Main Stages and now reallocating the camping areas due to extreme weather conditions. At this stage they are determining what they do for Splendour on the Saturday.

Will Splendour in the grass be cancelled?

With the horrendous weather conditions living up to the forecast, event organisers are currently weighing up the options of cancelling the event.

It’s the first time in 3 years the event would be taking place in the Byron region with many party goers extremely eager to get to the event. But after a few days rain and in particular, the last 24 hours of rain and windy conditions, the event is looking to be cancelled.

They’ve stopped the buses going into the festival and SES are doing a full review with an expectation of closing down the festival. We’ll soon find out this answer. Stay tuned.

AFL Round 19: Hawthorn vs North Melbourne

Both teams are seeking to make it through the AFL finals as the season draws near to the end.

Embed from Getty Images

Despite having sacked their coach earlier in the week, North Melbourne defeated Richmond in one of the biggest upsets of the 2022 season. They’ve scored 26.17 goals in the previous two weeks, which has been quite beneficial to the club, and they’ve also won clearances versus Richmond.

Hawthorn, on the other hand, struggles with clearances and throws the ball back to the opposition more than any other team save the Suns. The Hawks have won back-to-back games, but North Melbourne has a real chance if they can apply the same level of pressure as they did against Collingwood and Richmond the previous two weeks.
