The vampires of Staten Island are back in the upcoming instalment of What We Do in the Shadows. Created by Jemaine Clement and based on the 2014 movie of the same name written by Clement and Taika Waititi, it follows centuries-old vampires Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Laszlo (Matt Berry), and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) and their hilarious and absurd nightly exploits. They’re guided by Guillermo (Harvey Guillén), their human familiar.

What We Do in the Shadows is not your ordinary vampire story. For starters, it’s comedy and structured as a mockumentary. Here, you’ll meet vampire roommates and their sort of relatable struggles as they adapt to the conundrums of modern life. There’ll be more of that in the new season as they’re further exposed to a world where Atlantic City casinos, escalators, wellness cults, and fitness gyms run supreme.

In Season 2, the housemates found themselves in major disarray after discovering that their beloved human familiar is actually a vampire killer. Fans will see how that’ll pan out in the third season.
