Foxtel today officially introduced its new iQ5 set top box. Designed to embrace a future in digital entertainment where streaming takes the front seat, Foxtel’s latest iQ box features a simple plug and play set-up without the need for a traditional cable or satellite installation. This allows customers to start watching sports, movies, documentaries, or their favourite shows on Foxtel within minutes.
The new iQ5 is also easy on the eye with its smaller, sleek design. Its set-up is intuitive and only takes minutes, making it easier for Foxtel users to access top-tier entertainment, live and on-demand, all in one place. Apart from its appealing overhaul, the latest set top box impresses with a detachable 1TB hard drive to record shows and a new ultra-fast chip for streaming 4K content to the big screen.
Personalising your viewing experience, Foxtel also included iQ software enhancements for easier navigation, as well as content recommendations based on viewing preferences and history. As for its third-party streaming apps, Vevo joins Netflix, YouTube, ABC iView, and SBS On Demand later this month, while Amazon Prime Video will launch to iQ3, iQ4 and iQ5 later this year.
