Hugo Weaving

Love Me, a local drama in the works, has been announced by BINGE and Screen Australia. Production has already begun in Melbourne and regional Victoria. The new series, which will consist of six episodes, is Warner Bros. Australia’s first-ever local drama in production and commissioned by Foxtel Group. It is based on the Swedish series titled Älska Mig, created by Josephine Bornebusch.

Australian director Emma Freeman (Secret City, Glitch) is set to direct the show, which follows different family members, how they deal with modern love at three distinct times of life, and how they’re shaped by their experiences of passion, sadness, and relationships. The series will screen on BINGE and Foxtel.

Who stars in Love Me?

Love Me will star acclaimed actor Hugo Weaving (The Matrix, Lord of the Rings), and joining him are Bojana Novakovic (I, Tonya, Birds of Prey), Bob Morley (The 100), Heather Mitchell (The Unusual Suspects, Upright), Sarah Peirse (Stateless, Sweet Tooth), Celia Pacquola (Rosehaven, The Beautiful Lie), Shalom Brune-Franklin (Line of Duty, Doctor Doctor), William Lodder (Wakefield), and Mitzi Ruhlmann (The Code).
