Still riding on the early success of The Undoing, HBO just announced a brand new thriller mini-series with another formidable cast line-up led by Jude Law and Naomie Harris.
‘The Third Day’ is a dark, intriguing six-part limited series that dives deep into the unnerving tale of a British island clouted by mythology, which then ensnares two mainlanders — one of which ends up there by accident (Jude Law) and the other one, arrives in search for answers (Naomie Harris).
With a story told over the course of six episodes, this new HBO series is divided into two parts: “Summer,” which sees Sam (Law) rescuing a troubled young girl and then accompanies her home to the otherworldly and mysterious Osea Island. The second part is “Winter,” which follows Helen (Harris), a strong-willed outsider who arrives on the same island on the hunt for answers.
This exciting new series is the latest partnership of HBO with Sky and features a stellar line-up of actors in addition to Jude Law and Naomie Harris. Joining them are Katherine Waterston (Fantastic Beasts), Emily Watson (Emmy and Golden Globe nominee for Chernobyl), and Paddy Considine (The Outsider). Marc Munden (National Treasure) directed the first three episodes, while Philippa Lowthorpe (The Crown) directed the last three.
Be sure to tune in to the premiere of The Third Day when it airs on FOX SHOWCASE on Monday, December 7, with new episodes airing every succeeding Monday at 8:30pm. You can also watch all six episodes when it drops On Demand from midday through your IQ boxes, FOXTEL GO app, and via FOXTEL NOW.
