HBO Releases Full Trailer for Succession Season 3

The official trailer for the third season of Succession is finally here, giving fans an exciting peek of what awaits them when the highly lauded HBO series returns for a new instalment.

What to expect in Succession Season 3?

Families have their ups and downs, but there are no exact words to describe the rollercoaster of events, twisted strategies, and complex emotions that is the Roy family. Despite a succession plan in place, the family patriarch, Logan Roy, can’t seem to let go of his media empire. This only leads his children to work for him, with him or against him – it’s really hard to tell. And that’s why Succession is the kind of show that will get you hooked, intrigued, and get your heart racing all at the same time.

At the end of season 2, it was clear that Kendall Roy was willing to go all out in order to secure power. While he has always been the rebellious, power-hungry son, Kendall openly declaring a fight against his father will certainly lead to shocking, game-changing twists and turns that are bound to make Succession’s storytelling and its characters even more cutthroat than they already are.

Succession Season 3 cast

Brian Cox reprises his role as Logan Roy, alongside Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy, Kieran Culkin as Roman Roy, Sarah Snook as Shiv Roy, Nicholas Braun as Greg Hirsch, Matthew Macfadyen as Tom Wambsgans, and Alan Ruck as Connor Roy. There will be new faces joining the cast for season 3 as well, including award-winning actors Adrien Brody as Josh Aaronson, a billionaire activist investor, and Alexander Skarsgård as Lukas Matsson, a tech founder and CEO. With an even more stellar cast this season, Succession further steps up its game in dominating the screens upon its premiere.

The good news is that the third season of the acclaimed drama hits streaming soon in Australia. In the meantime, check out the full trailer below and find out how to watch its new episodes.

How to watch Succession Season 3 in Australia?

Succession Season 3 premieres in Australia on Foxtel at the same time as the U.S. on Monday, October 18. It will be available on-demand on Foxtel and on FOX Showcase, which is part of the base entertainment bundle, Foxtel Plus.

Netflix Releases First Official Trailer for ‘Don’t Look Up’

Netflix today released the official teaser for its upcoming sci-fi black comedy film, Don’t Look Up. Paramount Pictures was initially set to distribute the movie before it was acquired by Netflix. Featuring an ensemble cast unlike any other, Don’t Look Up hits streaming in December.

The movie follows two astronomers, grad student Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence) and her professor, Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio). After discovering a comet on a collision course with Earth, they warn President Janie Orlean (Meryl Streep) and her son and Chief of Staff, Jason Orlean (Jonah Hill).

Thinking they’re the bearer of an information that can make or break humanity’s chances of survival, it turns out the higher ups have already heard lots of ‘the world is ending’ warnings that they’ve stopped caring. Intent on sending a warning to the public, Kate and Randall go on a press tour to save humanity.

Despite their pleas for everyone to listen, the urgency of the situation is only aggravated by the people’s refusal to care. Don’t Look Up may be a disaster film on the outside but it’s certainly a black comedy that addresses relevant issues today like social media and climate change.

Who stars in Don’t Look Up?

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Adam McKay (The Big Short, Vice), Don’t Look Up is Netflix’s most star-studded movie to date. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Mark Rylance, and Tyler Perry star as the movie’s main cast.

Joining them are Rob Morgan (Daredevil), Timothée Chalamet (Call Me by Your Name), Ariana Grande (Victorious), Scott Mescudi (We Are Who We Are), Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy), and Himesh Patel (Yesterday). Chris Evans and Matthew Perry will also appear in the film.

How to watch Don’t Look Up in Australia?

Don’t Look Up will premiere 24th December on Netflix at around 6 pm AEST. If you’re a Telstra customer, you can easily add Netflix to your account for the same monthly plan fee, which starts at $10.99 per month in Australia for the Basic subscription, $15.99 for Standard, and $19.99 for Premium.

Foxtel Launches New Documentary Channel with FOX Docos

Foxtel just launched a documentary-dedicated channel with FOX Docos, replacing Foxtel Arts. This occurs at a time when television viewers find factual content like world events, true crime, and history more engaging. In a Foxtel-commissioned research, it is revealed that 89% of Australians actually choose to watch a documentary or a docuseries in the last 18 months.

With this increasing demand, Foxtel presents FOX Docos, a 24/7 documentary channel that will stream acclaimed docos from around the world. It’s available through linear programming and On Demand, which means you can pick what titles to watch without the need to follow Foxtel’s broadcast schedule.

What documentaries are available on FOX Docos?

Foxtel customers can access the new documentary channel, FOX Docos, starting 1st September. There will be over 600 hours of available content upon launch, which includes Spike Lee’s NYC Epicenters 9/11-2021½, a 4-part docuseries that examines life in New York since the September 11 attacks.

Locally produced titles also join FOX Docos’ library of content like Walking With Hope, a documentary that follows Melissa Doyle and Australian of the Year Grace Tame as they lead a bush walk on the road to self-empowerment, discovery, and healing.

Other notable documentaries available to watch on FOX Docos are Obama: In Pursuit of a More Perfect Union, a 3-part docuseries that explores Obama’s life and his rise as a world leader despite being thrust into a nation plagued by racial tensions, and In the Same Breath, a timely documentary that examines the origin and spread of the coronavirus from its outbreak in Wuhan China to the United States.

Just like Foxtel’s top drama channel FOX Showcase, which exclusively releases HBO shows in Australia, a lot of the handpicked titles on FOX Docos are also created by HBO.

How to watch documentaries on FOX Docos?

FOX Docos is part of Foxtel’s base entertainment package, Foxtel Plus, along with over 50 other channels of entertainment, lifestyle, reality, and kids. If you’re already a Foxtel subscriber, you can access FOX Docos and all the documentaries it offers at no extra costs. The Foxtel Plus bundle costs $49 per month, with or without a lock-in contract. Other channels offering documentaries in the Foxtel Plus bundle are Discovery Channel, National Geographic, BBC Earth, and Animal Planet.

Everything coming to BINGE in September

Any month is a great month for binge-watching, but BINGE’s September highlights is worth a special mention because of the caliber of content that’s coming in this month. For starters, the vampires of Staten Island are back in What We Do in the Shadows‘ brand new season three. New episodes of this acclaimed mockumentary start streaming on 3rd September, the very same day that the reality series Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles also premieres on the streaming service.

A few days earlier, BBC’s highly anticipated crime drama, Vigil, also premiered on BINGE with new episodes streaming weekly. If you’re a huge fan of award-winning crime dramas like Line of Duty and Bodyguard, it’s highly likely that you’ll also love this one starring Doctor Foster’s Suranne Jones and Game of Thrones’ Rose Leslie.

If you’re looking for a riveting drama based on true events, then look no further than American Crime Story‘s third season titled Impeachment. The new instalment of this anthology series covers one of the most shocking political scandals in the world. Don’t miss its Australian premiere on 8th September.

After working together in the movie A Most Violent Year, we’ll get to see Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain reuniting for HBO’s American remake of the critically lauded 1973 miniseries Scenes from a Marriage by Ingmar Bergman. It follows a married couple navigating life, love, and hate as their marriage disintegrates. The new drama series premieres on 13th September.

Things get more fast-paced and exciting by the second week of the month with the launch of Y: The Last Man on 14th September, based on the acclaimed comic book series of the same name. The show has been in development and production since 2015 so fans have been waiting for this for a really long time.

Even if you haven’t read the comic books, the premise of Y: The Last Man is engaging enough to rouse your interest, in which the world is plagued by a mysterious event killing all males, with the exception of one and his pet monkey, making both of them “reproductively interesting”.

BINGE also adds this month B.J. Novak’s new anthology series, The Premise, which hits streaming on 17th September. Comprised of five half-hour episodes and bolstered by a star-studded cast, The Premise takes on hard-hitting topics that characterise the present world we live in, including gun control, social justice, sex, revenge, and more.

Meanwhile, TV shows that launched last month are still streaming on BINGE with their latest weekly episodes. For superhero fans, new episodes of DC’s Stargirl and Supergirl are added every week. For a dose of grim and horror, BINGE has The Walking Dead‘s final season and American Horror Story: Double Feature. More of a comedy fan? Reservation Dogs is still streaming on BINGE too.

September is filled with new movie releases as well. From the latest blockbusters to classic titles, BINGE has got you covered, starting with the Kevin Hart-starrer comedy, Night School. For sci-fi action and adventure, Pacific Rim Uprising offers exactly those things, while Liam Neeson reminds fans why he’s practically an action figure in Honest Thief. Legendary movies made by some of the world’s greatest filmmakers also join BINGE’s September highlights – Brian De Palma’s Scarface, Oliver Stone’s Any Given Sunday, and Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York.

Stream new releases on BINGE for free

New customers joining BINGE can try the service with a 14-day free trial. After the trial ends, streaming plans only start from $10 per month for Basic (SD, stream on 1 screen), $14 per month for Standard (HD, stream on 2 screens), and $18 per month for Premium (HD, stream on 4 screens).
