A brand new international rugby tournament, the Autumn Nations Cup, is set to kick off this weekend in the Northern Hemisphere – featuring all of the Six Nations teams along with Georgia and Fiji. Here’s everything you need to know about the competition, including how you can watch games live on your TV or mobile device.
What is the Autumn Nations Cup?
Usually, at this time of year European Rugby Nations are preparing themselves for visiting giants such as Australia, New Zealand and South Africa during the Autumn Internationals. But as with just about every other sport, coronavirus has thrown a spanner in the works.
This has left England, France; Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Ireland with a big, empty fixture schedule. So the Six Nations sides invited Georgia and Fiji to help create a unique, one-off competition.
The teams in the Autumn Nations Cup will be split into two groups of four and play a round-robin format over three weeks. The two teams that win both groups will then play each other in the Grand Final on December 7th.
