New Comedy Series Reservation Dogs Premieres in Australia on BINGE

In this new comedy offering by Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok) and Sterlin Harjo (Barking Water, Four Sheets to the Wind), four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma hang out with incredible one-liners and do crimes. Specifically, they steal with a grand plan in mind – California. And because of their California dream, they drive a stolen food truck with their seat belts on. Just to be safe.

This half-hour project is partly inspired by Harjo’s experiences as a Native Oklahoman, making Reservation Dogs a humourous story of youth and misadventures. With the recently released trailer, it’s clear that while the series aims to tell a genuine story, it also doesn’t take it too seriously, finding subtler and funnier ways to explore and tap social and political themes.

Reservation Dogs, which will consist of eight episodes, stars D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai as Bear, Devery Jacobs as Elora Danan, Paulina Alexis as Willie Jack, and Lane Factor as Cheese. There will also be guest appearances from Bobby Lee and Garrett Hedlund. The pilot was written by both Harjo and Waititi.

How to watch Reservation Dogs in Australia?

Reservation Dogs will premiere on BINGE on 10 August. New customers can catch every episode of the new series with a 14-day free trial. After the trial ends, it’s only $10 per month for the Basic subscription, $14 for Standard, and $18 for Premium. BINGE now has over a thousand TV shows available on-demand.

Watch DC’s Stargirl Season 2 in Australia on Foxtel

Courtney Whitmore is a high school student-turned superheroine after coming across a powerful weapon – the Cosmic Staff of Starman. When she learns that her stepfather used to be Starman’s sidekick, she finds the ultimate inspiration to take on the mantle of the late superhero.

This discovery also brings back some villains of the past with a big appetite for wreaking havoc. To stop them from causing destruction, she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes and forms the Justice Society of America, for which she becomes the leader.

The release of the Season 2 trailer has fans wondering what’s next for the young heroine. There’s Green Lantern’s daughter, new villains to replace the Injustice Society, and there’s also still… school. It would seem Stargirl will find it tougher to save the world and do her school homework at the same time.

Most of the original cast also returns with Brec Bassinger playing Stargirl and Luke Wilson as her stepfather, Pat Dugan. The Justice Society of America, of course, will not be missing any action – Yvette Monreal returns as Wildcat II, Anjelika Washington as Doctor Mid-Nite II, and Cameron Gellman as Hourman II. From the looks of things, Season 2 will be more intense and daring in its action sequences.

While there are only a few days left before the premiere of the first episode on July 19, filming for the final episodes of Wild Wests: Tales from Tiger Town is still ongoing and will continue through to the end of the season.
