Watch Melbourne vs Geelong for free with Kayo Sports

It’s crunch time for Melbourne and Geelong tonight with both teams one step away from the Grand Final in Perth. These two preseason favourites are set for an epic encounter at the Optus Stadium in what promises to be the game of the season.

Melbourne may have had an extra week’s rest, but the Cats have found a nice bit of form. Who will come out on top in the biggest Victoria derby of the year?

Melbourne Demons vs Geelong Cats

Melbourne have managed to take their regular season form into the Finals this year, but it will all mean very little if they can’t get past Geelong tonight. The Demons haven’t won a Grand Final in the modern era, and their faithful fans are desperate for some success.

Their opponents may have had a less productive season, but they have a squad full of players that have been there and done it. The Cats will definitely be out to ruin the Melbourne party this evening.

How to watch Melbourne v Geelong

You can watch and stream tonight’s game on Kayo Sports. It will all get underway from 7.50pm (AEST), live from the Optus Stadium in Perth.

You can get access to Kayo Sports instantly with their 14 day Free trial offer, ideal for watching tonight’s game, as well as Port Adelaide vs Western Bulldogs tomorrow.

Rugby League World Cup: Australia and NZ Pull Out

Both Australia and New Zealand have pulled out of the Rugby League World Cup that is set to get underway this spring in England.

Australian Rugby League Commission and their Kiwi counterparts, New Zealand Rugby League, have requested that the whole competition is moved to 2022 because of COVID concerns.

Official word is yet to come from Rugby League World Cup organisers, but the idea of two of the competition’s favourites pulling out, as they have here, could force them into a rethink in terms of dates.

The tournament was only confirmed last month, but the Kangaroos did not sign a participation agreement from the get go, raising concerns that player isolation when re-entering the country would impact staff and even the NRL pre-season.

Head of NZRL Greg Peters said: “The safety and wellbeing of our people is the main priority, and unfortunately, that cannot be guaranteed to our satisfaction.

“There are stark differences between how the pandemic is being managed in the UK compared to Australasia, and recent developments have highlighted how quickly things can change.

“The tournament organisers have moved heaven and earth to make this work, so it is not an easy decision, but the Covid-19 situation in the UK shows no sign of improving, and it’s simply too unsafe to send teams and staff over.”

ARLC’s Peter V’landys added: “Not participating in this year’s World Cup is not a decision the commission has taken lightly, but we must put the best interests of our players and officials first. Protecting them is our absolute priority.”

“In the current environment, the risks to the safety, health and wellbeing of the players and officials travelling from Australia to participate in the tournament this year are insurmountable.”

“We have again requested the IRL and Rugby League World Cup consider postponing the event until 2022 to enable all players to participate.”

Wrestling fans can watch superstars from Raw and SmackDown compete for a contract that allows the winner to fight for a world title whenever they want, plus a substantial amount of prize money.

This year’s Money in the Bank will have wrestlers from the Raw and SmackDown brands with male contenders vying for a contract that guarantees them a match for either Raw’s WWE Championship or SmackDown’s Universal Championship.

Watch State Of Origin Game 3

The third and final State Of Origin game is set to get underway this evening. If New South Wales win, it will be the first time they have won three in a row during a series since the year 2000. Find out how to watch it here.

Blues v Maroons Game III

It would be a very sweet win tonight for the Blues if they take out game three of State Of Origin. They already clinched the 2021 series 2-0 last time out in Brisbane, but a win tonight would mean they would become the first NSW team to win all three games in Queensland!

This will be a stat the Maroons will be desperate to avoid on the Gold Coast when the game gets underway this evening. After a spanking in Townsville (6-50) and a scoreless outing in Brisbane (0-26), they will be keen to show their home support that they still have a bit of fight left in them. It’s all set up perfectly!

Watch Conor McGregor Next Fight

The Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier saga continues with the upcoming UFC 264 happening this weekend. The next fight completes the trilogy bout that started back in 2014 when McGregor defeated Poirier at Featherweight with a first-round KO.

Poirier secured his own share of victory against McGregor earlier this year at UFC 257, finishing the fight during the second round. This brings about a trilogy fight culminating in the much-awaited UFC 264, bringing two of the greatest UFC strikers back in the ring for a final face-off.

Conor McGregor v Dustin Poirier

The fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, for the third time, makes for the most highly anticipated rubber match in UFC history after it was announced back in April. The score will be settled inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 10 with only a few more days before the trilogy fight determines the ultimate victor. The result of the McGregor vs Poirier match also almost surely determines who fights current UFC Lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira, next.

As there’s nothing like a Conor McGregor fight, the UFC remains MMA’s premier promotion with McGregor as its biggest star (McGregor currently holds UFC’s highest-performing pay-per-view sales). Dustin Poirier can definitely hold his own, evident in the previous UFC 257 when he scored the shocking TKO over Conor McGregor. UFC 264 will also feature the Welterweight fight between Gilbert Burns and “Wonderboy” Stephen Thompson on its undercard.

How to watch v Poirier fight

Conor McGregor’s next fight will have him facing off against rival Dustin Poirier this weekend. You can watch all the action (and all the leg kicks) and the rivalry unfolding on Main Event available on Kayo. Happening on July 10 in Las Vegas, you can watch it in Australia on July 11 with the main card starting at 12 noon AEST. Both Kayo and non-Kayo subscribers can order the pay-per-view event at $54.95.

Another way to watch UFC 264 would be through Main Event from Foxtel offered for the same price, so you can tune in to both Kayo and Foxtel to access Main Event, as well as the unmissable Conor McGregor’s final bout against tenacious fighter Poirier.

2021 is a big year for Stan. Early this year, the streaming service joined the sports streaming niche with the launch of Stan Sport, coinciding with the Super Rugby AU season. Today, Stan announced a new partnership with the Union of European Football Associations, significantly expanding its sports offerings.

Every UEFA Champions League match starting 12 August 2021 will be broadcast by Stan Sport, kicking off with the 2021-22 UEFA Super Cup match between Chelsea and Villarreal, winners of the previous season’s UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. Stan’s broadcast time will be announced soon.

Prior to this, Stan Sport is already the go-to for diehard rugby union fans, offering every match of the Super Rugby AU, Super Rugby Aotearoa, Trans-Tasman tournament, and so many more. Wimbledon and Roland Garros tournaments also stream on Stan Sport, ad-free, live, and on-demand.

Stan’s new multi-year deal with UEFA finds the Australian streaming service locking down broadcast rights for every match of the UEFA Champions League for the next three seasons.
